The FLOVAC® Lid

The lid and collection bag are welded together and fully integrated. All the connections and handling devices are concentrated on the lid. Patient and vacuum ports are different (one male and the other female, to avoid any connection issues). It's virtually impossible to damage the suction source using this system.

The tandem port allows for additional collection volume. When only using the one jar, this tandem port must be plugged before use.

For normal suction operations, the male patient port fits a removable 90° elbow with a connection diameter of 8.0÷9.2 mm. If the expected collected fluids will contain bone fragments then it is enough to remove this elbow to give direct vertical access with an increased diameter of 14.0÷15.5 mm. The underside of the lid houses the special hydrophobic filter and its conical protection.
